when is enough enough? I mean when should a person who struggles every day of his life just throw in the towel and give up? I would like to offer my opinion about that very question. being a person who has reached a point in the process of a degenerative disease where I seem to get weaker and weaker by the month, also dealing with chronic pain on a daily basis. unsure what the future holds for my wife and I, I think I am qualified to offer an opinion, I shall offer it in the form of a poem, here it is.

DESTINATION DESTINY

A loved one dies or disease sets in,

The bills are piled sky high.

One step forward equals two steps back

It seems so futile to even try.

So many others in the world,

Seem to want you not around.

You shrug it off and try to smile,

Then life slams you to the ground.

You see bickering and fighting,

Over things that just don't matter.

Single people needing someones ear,

Share their heart and get only clatter.

We see a world all wrapped up in itself

We may need to take a better look.

It's in these exact same situations.

We can help if we don't get shook.

we make difference if we never give up

The key is to keep on striving.

You still have breath so you can help.

To find your destiny you must keep on

driving

P.S. if you want something lighter and funny to read read yesterdays entery
