THE CEREBRAL SPONGE

From the day that we are brought to life...

Until the time we must face death,

Our mind is like a thirsty sponge.

It even works when we're at rest.

It draws up every morsel of input...

Storing every bit of information.

It will learn from a simple video game...

Or from our favorite TV station.

Shaping,forming who we are,

Though some will say it's not that drastic.

Our environment plays a crucial part...

As does rubber to elastic.

What ever comes out of our mind...

Is a reflection of what's put in.

It's easy to pollute it if...

We let it run just like the wind.

Somteimes we can't help what we see...

But there are times we have a choice.

When it comes to drugs or unhealthy deeds...

Just say no and let your brain rejoice.
